about

I’ve been playing and composing in this Dsus2 tuning for 25+ years, since being introduced to it by Don Ross when he taught me 'Thin Air.' It’s a great tuning for rocking out (or accompanying A pipe tunes)! I was going to call this raucous piece “Rockpile” (some of you might know why) but the main theme reminded me too much of Peppino D’Agostino and Enzo Ponzio’s fun duet tune 'Tarantula' so this title kinda stuck. I’m also a big fan of the "little things that run the world," and find the fear of spiders puzzling. Early 2019, Rainsong ’Nashville’ Jumbo N-JM1100N2.
