about

This tune began life in Bb as a ‘two-capo tune.’ It used a 4-outer string (modified banjo) capo on the low strings at the 1st fret and a 3-string “Esus4” capo in “A” position at the third fret over DADGAD. The end result is 113330 giving an EbBbFBbCD ‘tuning.’ I’m unabashedly proud to say that it didn’t take long to figure out that if I de-tuned the high D to C# and then used only the Esus4 capo in “A” position at the 2nd fret I could achieve the same ‘tuning’ a half-step lower. June 2020, still locked down (the title should be somewhat self-explanatory, I hope), Lowden O23c.
