This is the most recently-written piece on the album. It followed from the almost non-existent, toned-down New Years Eve celebrations of 2021. In any other year, I would’ve expected the usual flurry of not-yet-but-soon-to-be-broken resolutions, along with the annual angst and protestations of forthcoming change, that accompany beginning a New Year. But early indications—now borne out—were that this year was just going to be 2020 redux. January 2021, Rainsong ’Nashville’ N-JM1100N2.
